Tiffany Massey, M.D.
Executive Medical Director
Dr. Tiffany Massey was a hospitalist for five years prior to joining Haven. She worked as the nocturnist at two large Jacksonville-based hospitals, both with open intensive care units, providing her with extensive experience managing complex patients. Dr. Massey provides inpatient hospice care at the Custead Care Center in Orange Park. She is the associate medical director for the care center and hospice home team. She is also the palliative care physician to Orange Park Medical Center. Dr. Massey considers it a privilege to help patients and their families as they navigate through end-of-life issues.

Geraldine S. Bichier, M.D.
Associate Medical Director
Prior to joining the Haven Medical Group in February 2008, Dr. Bichier held the position of assistant medical director at the Center for Clinical Trials Research at the University of Florida where she was intimately involved in the screening and study of volunteers while ensuring the safety of subjects and interpreting clinical data.
She earned her medical degree from the University of Wales in the United Kingdom. Dr. Bichier was a fellow in nephrology at the University of Florida, completed her residency in internal medicine at UCSD Medical Center in San Diego, California, and she served patients in a nephrology and internal medicine practice at the Valley Nephrology Medical Group in Fresno, California.
Previously, she was a registrar in cardiology, nephrology, neurology, gastroenterology and pulmonology for several hospitals in the United Kingdom.
More about Dr. Bichier: Some of Dr. Bichier’s interests include gardening and horseback riding. During her free time she also enjoys exploring Payne’s Prarie in the Gainesville area.

Christine Chapman, D.O.
Associate Medical Director
Dr. Christine Chapman is a board-certified family physician who joined Haven in 2022 as an Associate Medical Director.
Dr. Chapman graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a family practice residency in the North Broward Hospital District in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Chapman has experience in pediatric and adult urgent care and primary care medicine as well as infectious diseases. She also has military healthcare experience, having served as the medical officer on duty at the West Palm Beach Veteran Affairs Medical Center and case manager for Afghan guests at Fort Pickett Military Base.

Karen Laauwe, M.D., FACEP
Associate Medical Director
Dr. Karen Laauwe is a board-certified emergency medicine physician who joined Haven in 2020 as an Associate Medical Director. In addition to her role at Haven, she serves as Assistant Professor at UF Health Spring Hill Emergency Center.
Dr. Laauwe graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and went on to earn her MD from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara. She completed an internship at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Connecticut before going on to residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she became Chief Resident. Dr. Laauwe is also in the process of earning a Master’s Degree in Palliative Care and Hospice. In 1999, she earned the status of Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Stefan Mann, M.D.
Associate Medical Director
Stefan Mann, M.D., is a board-certified family medicine physician and the founder of Oak Concierge Medicine. He completed his residency training locally at HCA North Florida Hospital and has practiced hospital medicine for the past five years at various local hospitals. Dr. Mann is also the founder of Synergy Medical Group, a team of clinicians that services patients in post-acute care facilities. Adding to his multi-faceted role in the community, Dr. Mann also has experience with hospice and primary care in an outpatient setting. His vast expertise across many levels of healthcare has earned him multiple medical directorships and leadership roles within the community.

Darrel Wyatt, M.D.
Associate Medical Director
Dr. Wyatt is a board-certified physician who joined Haven in 2019. He also continues to run his women’s health and gynecology practice in Palatka, Florida. Previously, he served in the National Guard and in the Army, from which he retired in 2009. Dr. Wyatt earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Arkansas State University in 1974 and earned his MD in 1978 at the University of Arkansas College of Medicine. In his spare time, Dr. Wyatt serves as a Certified Layspeaker for the United Methodist Church.
APRNs
Katie Abel, APRN
Katie Abel, APRN, has worked in nursing since 2020 and earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program in 2025 from the University of Texas at Arlington. Prior to joining the Haven Hospice team as an APRN, Katie worked at Haven as a Hospital Liaison Registered Nurse.
Jody Arnstein, APRN, FNP-BC
Jody Arnstein, APRN, FNP-BC, has more than 18 years of nursing experience, working as an RN since 2008 and an APRN since 2022. Before joining Haven Hospice in her APRN role, Jody had prior experience at Haven as an RN Case Manager and Utilization Review Coordinator. Before rejoining the team, Jody was a Family Nurse Practitioner at Palms Medical Group in Bell, Florida.
Pamela Brownstein, APRN
Pamela Brownstein, APRN, has worked in nursing for 20 years. Pamela has diverse experience, including medical/surgical, intensive care, home care, pain treatment, pediatrics and geriatrics. She joined the Haven Hospice team in 2025.
Ashley Ellison, APRN
Ashley Ellison, APRN, is a board-certified adult primary care APRN with experience in hospice, acute medical surgical, and labor and delivery care. She joined the Haven Hospice team in 2023 as an RN before obtaining her Master of Science degree and completing the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Practitioner Program at the University of Florida in 2025. Ashley has worked in hospice care for more than 10 years and is passionate about maintaining patient dignity and ensuring non-judgmental, culturally sensitive care.
Kinsley Gonzalez, APRN
Kinsley Gonzalez, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, earned her Master of Science degree in Advanced Emergency Nursing in 2017 with a dual role specialty in family nurse practice and adult gerontological acute care nurse practice. Kinsley has worked with Haven Hospice in the past and also has intensive care, trauma and veteran care experience.
Jessica Fleener, APRN
Jessica Fleener, APRN, is skilled in palliative care, pediatric emergency, oncology and home health. Prior to joining the Haven Hospice team, Jessica was a nurse manager for Advent Health’s inpatient unit in Palm Coast. She earned her Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2025 from Chamberlain University College of Nursing.
Susan “Lyn” Fort, MSN, APRN
Susan “Lyn” Fort is a board certified nurse practitioner who joined Haven in 2020. She attended Santa Fe Community College, where she received her Associate of Science in Nursing degree in 1998. She also received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Western Kentucky University in 1989. She also attended the University of South Alabama, where she received her Master of Science in Nursing degree in 2010. As a nurse practitioner, she has 10 years of experience in geriatrics in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she had five years of intensive care experience and 7 years experience as a Liver Transplant Coordinator as an RN.
Laurie Hamilton, APRN
Laurie Hamilton, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, DNP, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who has worked in nursing since 2005. Laurie has unique experience caring for troubled adults and youth. She earned her nursing degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Gentina Kennedy, APRN
Gentina Kennedy, APRN, has been in nursing since 2012 and began practicing as an APRN in 2019. Prior to joining Haven Hospice, Gentina worked in palliative care. She has experience in home care, telehealth primary care, and chronic and acute health care.
Julie Maly, APRN
July Maly, MSN, FNP-BC, APRN, has been an APRN since 2003, with diverse experience in internal medicine, dermatology, hospice and palliative care, home health, mobile medical health, and geriatrics. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Florida and her Master of Science in Nursing degree in Family Nurse Practice from the University of Tampa.
Kerry McDonald, APRN
Kerry McDonald is board-certified in lifestyle medicine. She earned her bachelor’s of science in nursing as well as her master’s in nursing from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. Kerry joined Haven in 2024.
Kerry has primary and urgent care experience. She has also practiced internal and emergency medicine.
Mary Parrish, APRN
Mary Parrish is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with 32 years of nursing experience, including management, rehabilitation, labor and delivery, postpartum, NICU, emergency department, medical surgery, operating and infection control. She earned nursing degrees from Independence University and the University of St. Augustine.
Mary joined the Haven team in 2024.
Angela Renaud, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, ACHPN
Angela Renaud is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who joined Haven in 2019. She attended Jacksonville University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012 and her Master of Science in Nursing in 2014. Angela worked at St. Vincent’s Healthcare in Jacksonville, Florida, from 2005 until 2018, starting out as an ICU RN and working her way up to Director of Nursing Operations. Her experience as an APRN prior to joining Haven includes work as a hospitalist, in addition to work in physical medicine and rehab, as well as hospice. Angela became an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse in September 2020.
More about Angela: In her spare time, Angela enjoys playing super competitive board games with her family, watching objectively bad disaster movies, and traveling to places with unique cuisine, sand or snow.
Alison Stephens, APRN
Alison Stephens, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, has worked at Haven in a variety of capacities, including RN Case Manager, Patient Care Manager, Director of Access, and now, APRN. She has more than a decade of hospice and palliative care experience as well as long-term care, dialysis and family practice. Alison earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree with a Family Nurse Practice specialty track in 2020.
Takella Thompson, MSN, APRN
Takella Thompson, MSN, APRN, has been in nursing since 2013, earning her Master of Science in Nursing in Leadership in 2018 and her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2025. She has experience in rehabilitation, veteran care, pediatric health, women’s health and family care.
Amanda Trespalacios, APRN
Amanda Trespalacios, APRN, has extensive hospice and palliative care experience, as she worked with Haven Hospice previously in both RN Hospital Liaison and APRN roles. Amanda also has experience in veteran care, adult medical / surgical care, adult neurosurgical care, and intensive care.
